Back to the Future

Yes, today was October 21, 2015 which was the day that Marty McFly arrived in the future in Back to the Future II.

The movie has been in the press and all over social media today.

I have good memories of watching the Back to the Future movies over the years, so it is kind of a fun day.

Back to the Future, Michael J. Fox, Future, MoviesOf course, the first movie was really memorable and is full of great scenes. Michael J. Fox did such a great job of playing Marty in the movie. The twists and turns of the effects of time travel were really interesting.

I used this movie as an example in my post Time Travel.

Back to the Future II, Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, October 21, 2015Of course, when the sequel came out it got really interesting as they were headed to the future. Today is the day that Marty arrived in the future, so it is an interesting day. Especially to see if some of the things that the movie predicted would be available. The internet is awash with articles about this, so I will not go into detail here. The Cubs did not make it all the way to the World Series, so that ended up being wrong.

VHS, Back to the Future II, Future, Marty McFly, Michael J. FoxI have copies of all three movies in the trilogy, but they are VHS. I am getting ready to watch the movie, but first I had to figure out how to get my VCR hooked back up to my TV. I am not sure if I will watch the entire movie, but I at least want to watch the first 10-15 minutes of it.

Back to the Future Trilogy, Michael J. Fox, VHS, Time TravelThe third movie in the trilogy is probably my favorite. I think it would be really neat to go way back and use knowledge about future technology to invent new things for the era. Of course, I would probably then be labeled a wizard or something similar and be in danger of my life 🙂

Now to hit the play button and see how today was supposed to be in Hill Valley, California.
