Overlooked Posts

This evening is the end of a very long week, so I have decided to just share pictures and links to some of the posts I have written in the past that I believe have been overlooked.

I will start with a couple from the early days of Braman’s Wanderings.

Anne of Green Gables - Paperback books - Anne Series - L. M. MontgomeryThe first overlooked post is Anne of Green Gables, I wrote this in the first month of the blog. I actually need to write a newer post about this series of books. I have been trying to find a complete set of the older paperbacks for the series. You can see that I have made progress if you compare the picture above to the one I used in my post from more than two years ago.

Kings Cross, Harry Potter, Platform 9 3/4, Hogwarts Express, J.K. RowlingAnother early post is one I wrote about Platform 9¾. I thought that this would get many hits from people searching for King’s Cross pictures. It has been mostly overlooked.

Zondervan Atlas of the Bible - Carl G. Rasmussen - Christianbook.comI guess that not many people search for Great Customer Service, as this post that I wrote about a great experience with customer service from Christianbook.com has not been visited except right after I posted it.

Johnny Moo Burgers, Shanghai, China, Avoiding Shipwreck, Sea Rescue, 50's DinerI wrote a post titled Avoiding Shipwreck that told a story about an overheard conversation at this 50’s Diner in Shanghai, China. The text of the post was written back in 2008, and have found it on-line in several places where people have shared it from my original posting in another social media site.

However, here it has been mostly overlooked. Click on the link above to read this interesting story.

Absalom Leeper - Mount Pleasant Iowa - Preacher - Christian Church - Pioneer Preacher - Mad as a Hatter - Hat Maker - Trenton, IowaA more recent post that has been overlooked is a post that I wrote about my 4th Great Grandfather Absolom Leeper. The title of the post was Mad as a Hatter?

In his early days he worked as a hatter, and the post was written during March Madness. Maybe people thought it was just another sports post, which don’t seem to do too well on my blog.

In the post I talk about the mystery of how old he really was when he died. His tombstone says he was 106.

Perfect Timing - Sea Lion - Taronga Zoo - Nose on BallOne more post to finish things off. I really thought that the post I used this picture in would be more popular. I had Perfect Timing when I took this picture.

Do you know where this picture was taken?

Click on the links throughout the post to visit these overlooked posts. They are just a sampling of some of my favorite posts that don’t get many views.

  1. I always approve of a bit of recycling!

  2. I love the Anne books! I donated all my paperbacks (the series in the picture), to my kids school a couple years ago. There were also two books of short stories that were written about Avonlea.

I love all your posts and photos, but sometimes don’t comment. Sorry …
