Those of you who frequent my blog know that I like to take pictures of roses. If you do a search for roses on my blog you will find many posts that contain pictures of them.
I am thinking of one picture of a rose that I took in Jerusalem that is featured in the post: Finally Home
Of course, Turkey was no exception. I saw a lot of nice roses and tonight I will share a few pictures that I took of roses.
I really like this beautiful orange rose. The color was so beautiful.
Here is another shot of the same rose bush, but the focus is in the background to show the setting. The pictures in this post were taken at Dolmabahce Palace which is on the banks of the Bosphorus in Istanbul.
I really like the beautiful yellow roses with one of the entry gates to the palace in the background. The entry gate was very ornate and beautiful.
I really like this orange rose bud on the palace grounds. This was in a long row of roses bushes that lined one of the pathways. They were all beautiful, but this one really stood out.
Now for one final rose. I really like the coloring on this peach colored rose. Especially the veins in the petals. The rose looks so perfect.
We were unable to take pictures inside the palace, but I think that the pictures that we took of the gardens made up for the prohibition.
The palace exterior was also very beautiful. You can find a picture of it in my post: Historic Istanbul
Which of these roses is your favorite?
Steven
Love that final shot of the peach coloured rose – I need to find some of them for the farm.
They are all gorgeous …
