Today I will be flying to Tokyo. One of the benefits of this work trip will be seeing the Cherry Blossoms. I have always been too early or too late to see them, but now the timing is just right.
I have seen many blossoms this year already, including Cherry Blossoms. However, it will be nice to see the famous Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
I am also looking forward to some nice Japanese food on the trip. The picture above was taken at Yanagi Sushi near my office in California.
I am looking forward to getting some better pictures of a few places in Tokyo that I have visited before. The hotel that I will be staying in has a beautiful garden. Here is a picture that I took there 12 years ago. I will see if I can recreate this picture with my new camera. This one was taken with an old digital camera that used floppy disks for storage media.
This picture of the Imperial Palace was also taken 12 years ago. The conference center where I will be spending most of my time is not far from here, so this is also on my list of places to get new pictures from.

Now for some breakfast before the long trip. I will not arrive in Japan until Monday evening. Then I make a choice, do I update you on How Upsetting? the NCAA Basketball tournament was or post a few pictures from the trip over?
Steven
Happy travels, would love to see the cherry blossoms once you arrive.

My husband is Japanese so we always went to see the cherry blossoms in the EUR park in Rome. Here in Sicily we have something similar in Agrigento, the Almond blossom festival.
You live such an interesting life. Thanks for sharing.
