Tonight I will share a few pictures of Sumatran tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae).
Not really sure how my mind wandered to tigers tonight, but it did.
This first tiger is chilling out at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.
The Taronga Zoo is one of my favorite zoos and I might visit it again next month. I would like to get some more nice pictures. The last time I was there I was able to get some amazing pictures. Some of my favorite Taronga Zoo pictures can be seen in Taronga Zoo Birds and Perfect Timing.
Taronga Zoo is also a Zoo with a View and I can get some great shots of downtown Sydney again.
If you have been following my blog from the beginning you may remember this tiger from my post: Zoo Pictures
I took this picture at the Toronto Zoo. I really like the look this tiger is giving me.
How about a little closer look at the tiger. I don’t think I would want to be this close to the tiger without a fence in between.
Maybe it is all the football and basketball I have been watching that is making me think of tigers. Two of my favorite college teams have tigers as mascots. Go Missouri! Go Pacific!
I think that I like the first tiger best, what do you think?
Steven

All tigers are gorgeous. The first photo shows the regal side and the second the more distracted animal. But the eye! 8)
They are all wonderful, Steven, I am most envious! One does not often come that close to such amazing creatures.
