Today is the blogiversary of Braman’s Wanderings. Actually, I am not sure if blogiversary is really a word, but I am using it.
One year ago today I posted the first real post to this blog: Take off to Canada
I had just bought myself a new i-Pad for my birthday and also wanted to start writing blog posts in advance of a trip I took last September.
Now, one year later this will be post number 374. I also have more than 250 followers and more than 43,000 page views. A lot more than I expected for the first year.
My most popular post of the last year has been Fireworks Memories with almost 2000 views. Since fireworks have been the most popular I decided to illustrate this blogiversary post with pictures from the fireworks last night at the Apricot Fiesta in Patterson, California.
Another popular group of posts have been about my quest to find a replacement for Home Pride Bread. I have written almost 30 posts about my quest. There are links to all of them on the Home Pride Bread page.
I have also written quite a few posts about Israel as I went on a tour there for vacation last year. I also used pictures to illustrate my Walls of Jericho class series.
Another series of posts that I have been writing are about Religion in Family History. I currently have a dozen posts in the series with about half of them being about my Amish heritage. Some of the posts in the series are also the most visited ones in the last year.
I have also received visits to my blog from 143 countries in the last year. I last wrote about my country stats in More Fun With Flags.
The groups of posts and links above are only a small assortment of the posts I have written in the last year. I have shared pictures from many places in the world during the last year and my mind has also wandered all over the place.
I want to especially thank my loyal readers and those who leave comments for me. You help make blogging fun, and I know that I am sharing things that people want to see.
I am ready to get started on the next year of blog posts. Who knows where I will be wandering next :-).

Enjoy the blogiversary! Whew, composing posts on an iPad? I can’t do it except in a pinch. I’m afraid I need a real keyboard for typing. 😉
The iPad is mainly just when I travel. I try to write most of my posts on a laptop or desktop. I have gotten fairly good at typing on a tablet and phone though.
