Four Seasons

Tomorrow is the first day of Summer and that makes me think of the Four Seasons.

Growing up in the Midwest, we enjoyed the classic four seasons. In other words, we had a cold snowy Winter. Here in the Central Valley of California we also have four seasons, but Winter is cool and rainy instead of cold and snowy. Of course, we are only a short drive from the mountains with lots of snow.

I really enjoy the change of seasons. Each of the seasons have their high points, but also some drawbacks. We almost always dream of a season that is not current. We want it to be cooler in the Summer and warmer in the Winter. We want the pollen to go away in the Spring and complain about raking leaves in the Fall (or is it Autumn).

Have you ever had all four seasons in a short time period? I have on several occasions. I have left for trips where it is Summer when I leave California, Winter when I arrive in Australia, Spring when I head back home and Fall when I arrive. A whirlwind of seasons in just two weeks or less.

What is your favorite season of the year?

Steven

Fall or spring … or Aug-Sept in San Diego because the ocean is warm(ish)
