Time for Bees

It is time for bees to get busy here in the Central Valley.

I will have to remember to drive with the air recirculating in my car as there will be a lot of pollen in the air.

Virtual Hike to Oak Island, Nova Scotia

The next destination on my Virtual Hike was Oak Island, Nova Scotia.

I had been working my way up the Atlantic Coast into Canada recently. However, Oak Island is not why I was heading north. I wanted to stop at where several of my Canadian ancestors live.

It is interesting as Crandall Point was probably  named after one of the descendants of the New England Planters who came up to Canada from Rhode Island. The Crandalls would have been fairly close cousins to my ancestors who had also moved to Nova Scotia.

Here you can see across the water to Oak Island, which is a familiar site to those who watch The Curse of Oak Island.

If I had actually been there would they have given me a tour? It would be really cool to see everything first hand and to share some of my thoughts about the mystery of Oak Island.

The next stops include some places where my ancestors lived and where one of my favorite book series is set.
