It is time for bees to get busy here in the Central Valley.

Last week I saw a few hives at the end of the rows of trees in the almond orchards.

This week I saw a lot more hives. They were also some further north than there were last week.

Soon the almond trees will be blooming and it will look like the valley floor is covered with snow in some areas.

Here is a view of an almond orchard from I-5 which runs along the sides of the hills on the end of the Central Valley.

I will have to remember to drive with the air recirculating in my car as there will be a lot of pollen in the air.
