Wednesday Image Search – War

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘var.’ This week I will proceed to ‘war’ as I extend the sequence.

What images will I find?

Cypriot Ware, Israel MuseumThe first image is of some Cypriot Ware in the Israel Museum. I really like this type of pottery and once found a handle like the one on the right during a dig.

Stewart and Jasper Orchards - Apricot Pepper Sauce - Patterson, California - Orchard OutletThe next image is the only food related image that I could find. Stewart & Jasper Orchards sells food related items like nuts and fruit sauces.

Jonathan and Sarah, an uncommon union, Jonathan Edwards, Northampton, stockbridge, massachusettsHere we have a book about Jonathan and Sarah Edwards. Do you know what they were known for?

Wartburg, Eisenach Germany, Martin Luther, Reformation MovementHere is a picture taken of the walls of Wartburg Palace in Eisenach, Germany. Do you know what happened at this historic site in Germany?

Baseball - Little League Baseball - Bench Warmer - Baseball Dugout - Baseball MemoriesFinally we have a bench warmer. This was my usual position on the baseball team when I was young.

There were quite a few ‘war’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections. I could have chosen multiple pictures about military conflicts but decided to go with other selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘war’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  Since I am following a series with ‘?ar’  the next one will probably be ‘yar’ as i do not have any ‘xar’ results to choose from.
