Inside the Worksop Priory

Back in January of 2017 I visited the Worksop Priory Church in England. I had planned on sharing more pictures from the building, but have not done so. Today I was thinking about the visit and decided to look at some of the pictures that I took then. I will also include some material from earlier posts.

First, I will share a picture of the outside of the Worksop Priory church building.

Worksop Priory, Worksop, Anglican, Worksop EnglandThe full name is the Priory Church of our Lady and St. Cuthbert in Worksop.

As large as this church building is, it was even larger in the past before the dissolution of monasteries in 1539.

I need to do some more research on some of the pictures that I took and may share more of them in a future post.

This church building is interesting as my 11th Great Grandfather Richard Barnard was a Vicar there back in the early 1600’s and also was associated with people who lived in nearby Scrooby.
