Around the Wetlands

Outside of the entrance to the office I work in we have a patch of preserved wetlands.

There is a walking path around the wetlands where I like to take a walk to get some fresh air during breaks from class.

Of course, I always have my camera along with me.

Tonight I will just share some pictures from a recent walk. Unfortunately, I don’t know the names of the plants. Perhaps someone can help me with the names. They are not necessarily wetlands plants, but plants that are native to California.

Wetlands, preserved wetlands, plants, walk, californiaI do know one of the flowers seen in this picture. If you look closer you can see some California Poppies.

Wetlands, preserved wetlands, plants, walk, californiaThese remind me of cattails, but not like the ones I have seen in the past.

Wetlands, preserved wetlands, plants, walk, californiaI like these purple flowers. I like the symmetry of the petals on the stalk.

Wetlands, preserved wetlands, plants, walk, californiaI am not sure what these are called, but I like the way that that the blooms progress as they age.

If you know what some of these plants are, let me know.
