Friday is Día de la Bandera or Flag Day in Mexico. I saw the day listed on my calendar tonight and decided to share some pictures of Mexican flags that I took about 10 years ago during a trip to Mexico City.
These pictures were all taken in the city center of Mexico City. I like that way that this flag is framed by the archway.
This picture was taken from the roof of the Mexico City Cathedral. I was able to take a tour and climb to the top. There was a great view of the large square in front of the cathedral.
I like this picture with the huge Jacaranda tree in front of the building and the flag stretched out so you can see the entire pattern.

I have a student from Mexico in my class this week. He will be working on a holiday tomorrow, but I will make sure that I wish him happy Día de la Bandera.
