The past couple weeks has been very wet and it is difficult to find times when I can go walk and meet my movement goal for the day.
I have had to watch the weather, especially the radar images, to see when there will be breaks in the rain.
Here is an example from last week. You can see the dark clouds in the distance.
When I looked the other direction the sky was still cloudy, but the sun was shining through the clouds.
Even though it was bright and sunny where I was, you could see the rain falling in the distance.
It wasn’t long until the clouds moved in obscuring the sun and it started getting dark. I had to end my walk, but had met my goal.
I made it back home before the rain started to fall.
The falling rain was quite noisy, but then it stopped and I saw a beautiful rainbow as the shower passed.
Tonight it is a different story, I am watching for gaps in the rain but I don’t think they will come. I am getting ready to bundle up in some wet weather gear and go out and walk for 15-20 minutes to meet my daily movement goal.
Should I build on my 53 day streak or should I just stay inside and keep dry? I should have just walked earlier in the day.
