Tonight I am just thinking of some church buildings that I have taken pictures during my trips around the world.
This church building is St. Michael which is the city church of Jena, Germany. It has an interesting connection with Martin Luther.
This is the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem taken during one of my trips to Israel. This is a very complex building and interesting to visit.
Here is the St. Nicholas church in Steventon, Hampshire, England where Jane Austen grew up. Here father was the rector of the church there, and they lived in the rectory which is no longer standing. I took this picture during one of my trips to England.
Here is Christ Church Cathedral in Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. You can see the beautiful whale bone arch in front of the building. I visited there with my Sister on our way to Antarctica years ago.
Here is a picture that I took long ago during a trip to Mexico. This is the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral. The cathedral has a very interesting history.
Which of these church buildings would you like to visit?
