Earlier today my Sister snapped that she was going to eat at a sushi restaurant. However, after a few snaps back and forth, I found out she was having tofu. This brought up some good memories. Especially of eating at a tofu restaurant in Kyoto, Japan ten years ago.
The tofu restaurant was on an upper level of a shopping district and had a great view over Kyoto. However, I am sure you want to see the food instead of the view.
The tea cups were very pretty and there was an interesting chopstick sleave. The sleave for chopsticks often have information about the restaurant on them.
I liked the teapot also. This would be a nice one to have if you were entertaining guests for tea.
The restaurant was of course know for their tofu. They had tofu in a large central pot that was boiled, but also had grilled tofu. These were really delicious.
The center bowl was filled with firm tofu blocks and you would eat the tofu with sauce or vegetables.
Here was our table at the end of the meal. A lot of the food is gone, as it was so good, but it gives you a sense of our meal.
Don’t say you don’t like tofu unless you have had a meal like this, it was delicious.
