This past week there has been a slow moving winter storm passing through. The temperatures have been dropping along with the snow levels. We at least had a white Christmas up in the hills.
On Sunday morning I saw snowy hills on my to church services.
On the way back home it was much darker as another round of precipitation started to move into the area.
When I got back home I walked to the nearby park so that I could see over the roof of the neighborhood homes. You could see areas of snow in the hills along the Central Valley.
The snow brought back some good memories of playing in the snow when growing up in Iowa. My Sister has sent several pictures of the snow they have had this year, but this one is from long ago.
There has been record snow fall for December in some places up in the mountains here in California and we still have a few days left. It will be good to build a deep snow pack this year to help alleviate some of the drought we have been undergoing.

It seems like snow is a part of Christmas. Of course some folks don’t ever have this!
What I understand California needs the moisture.
