This week while teaching a remote class in Brazil I was remembering something from my last trip to Sao Paulo.
The trip was around the time of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 and seeing Tang in the stores brought back some memories.
I have some great memories from my childhood of drinking Tang, especially with its connection to the astronauts and the space program.
You don’t here about Tang too often now in the United States but I do see it in the stores and actually have some in my cupboard.
While at a grocery store in Brazil I ran across a huge display of Tang.
Here you can see many different varieties of Tang. I went back later and picked up an assortment, as they are only about 25 cents apiece.
Of course, we all remember Tang as being orange flavored, but here you can also see tangerine.
Other flavors are grape, lime, lemon and pineapple.
Peach, strawberry and orange/papaya sound good, but I am not so sure about cashew, guava and guarana.
Tang is definitely popular in Brazil.
This week I remembered the packets that I had tucked away after my last trip and have been giving them a try, good thing they have a long shelf life 🙂
So far I have tasted Strawberry, Lime and Tangerine and they are all really good. It will be interesting to taste some of the them, as they are not flavors that I would normally expect in a drink.

My daddy like Tang. Not a favorite to me .
