One of my least favorite yard work chores is re-stringing the trimmer.
The trimmer always seems to run out of filament at the worst time. Like when you are trying to get things done before dark.
I usually take the trimmer to the garage to re-string, but it was too hot in the garage on Saturday. I thought it would be better to do it out in the breeze.
It is not too hard to wind the filament around the spool as there are notches to hold the ends.
However, when I try to put the spool into the trimmer it often unwinds. It is tricky to get the filament through the holes in the side and then press the spool down. Especially with the trimmer leaning against a tree. It usually takes me several times to get it, but it took me a few more this time. I should have endured the heat of the garage instead of the frustration 🙂
I finally got it back together and continued trimming my overgrown backyard,
