Things are opening up here in California, including my Agapanthus blooms.

Here is my agapanthus about a week ago. You can see 13 scapes.

Last weekend the first pair of brachts on my agapanthus had started to open. The brachts are the two leaves that enclose the flowers and are on the end of the scapes.

I missed the first opening, but here is another one.

You can see that they slowly open and unfurl.

Here you can see even more bracts in different stages of opening.

Here is what the agapanthus plant looks like now. Quite a bit of difference in a week.

Next week I should see the nice purple flowers open.

It is nice to see things opening up here in California.
