Today is International Sloth Day, and since I am feeling a bit slothful I will just post a few pictures.
The pictures of a sloth were taken at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. The best zoo in the country.
The two-toed Sloth (Choloepus didactylus) is also known as Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth and is from the rain forests of South America.
Here we see the sloth hanging onto a small branch. I really like the coloring of this sloth.
I waited awhile to see if the sloth would move, but it pretty much stayed put. They don’t move too much or too fast.
I think that I may have some pictures of sloths from other zoos, but am a bit slothful tonight so am not going to try and find them.
Instead I will share my favorite picture from my trip to the Omaha Zoo ten years ago.
I really like this baby Gorilla.
