Tonight I am thinking of some of the cleanest air I have ever experienced. The air here is so unhealthy and thinking about clean air helps just a little bit 🙂
This may not look very clean, but it is only because it is overcast. The air that I was breathing as I took these pictures was so clean and fresh. It was also a bit cold, but perhaps not as cold as you would expect since this was in Antarctica.
These pictures were all taken in Paradise Bay, which is on the Antarctic Peninsula.
The shapes of the iceberg fragments were very interesting.
It was a bit scary to have such large pieces of ice near the ship, but it was so beautiful.
It was an experience that I will always remember and one that I hope to have again someday.
It would really be nice to have the fresh air from that day replace what we have here. I would even take the cold weather if that is what it would take. But, I would settle for an unseasonable rain storm that would clear the air.
In a year of weird weather, please send us some unseasonable rain to help clear the air.
