A couple nights ago we had a nice summer sunset.
I had looked out my kitchen window and saw that the sky was turning red, so grabbed my camera to take a few pictures.
I went outside and walked into the street to get a good view past the trees.
There were some clouds in the sky that helped add some texture to the sunset.
The houses and trees were silhouetted against the sky and windows were reflecting the colors of the sky.
From the center of the street I had a great view of the sunset.
The upper clouds looked dark, but unfortunately were not rain clouds.
I took one last shot of the sunset through the trees.
The cloudy sky told me that we were having unusual summer weather, and unfortunately the forecast also shows this. We are experiencing record temperatures and it is far from over.
Today the high temperature was 105 and the forecast for the next four days is 109, 109, 112 and 109. Then a nice cooling trend to 103, 100 and then 98 by next Saturday.
I am trying to keep cool, fortunately my classes this week start early and are over by mid afternoon so I can simply sit in front of a fan during the hottest parts of the day.
