I recently picked up a couple boxes of Twinkies during a visit to Wal-Mart. This is usually where I will find new flavors, as most of the other places that I shop at only stock the basic Hostess items.

The first one that I tried was Orange Creme Pop Twinkies. The box itself is well decorated and inviting. It makes you think of summer.

I also like that they called it ‘Pop’ as that is the right term for that fizzy drink.

Of course, they could be just using Pop as short for Popsicle as one is shown on the box.

Here is one of the Twinkies on top of the box and it looks just like the picture.

These Twinkies were really good. They really did make you think of orange pop when you ate them. They had a great flavor.

The second box was Moonberry Twinkies. These were quite interesting. I assume that they were created because of the anniversary of the moon landing which was so much in the news recently.

To be honest, they just don’t look that good. The color is a little bit unappetizing.

They also just did not taste that good. Kind of a neutral flavor. To be honest I am not sure what flavor of berry they are supposed to taste like. There is no flavor listed anywhere on the box.

Perhaps they are supposed to taste like moon dust?

There is no question which of these I like better.
