The Old City of Jerusalem is usually very full of people and very busy and noisy. However, sometimes it can be very quiet.
One of the quietest times in the Old City is just after the shops close on Saturday night. There are not to many people out and about then.
Usually at this location there is a solid line of people walking through the streets. However, with the shops closing the traffic dies down.
The Old Quarter can be very beautiful when it is quiet and you can take time to really observe the architecture of the buildings and stone placement in the streets.
Walking through the streets of closed shops can be a bit eerie, but also a nice change from the constant stream of people in the daytime.
It can be quiet in the daytime also, but not very often. Here I was able to capture a nice quiet time on one of the side streets.
