Since I was in town for 4th of July this year I made the long walk to the park to go watch the fireworks.
The park is more than a mile away, but I probably couldn’t have found parking anywhere close so it made sense to walk. I would spend just as much time away from home with more frustration. Plus, I really needed the exercise. I had walked only about 3,000 steps for the day.
The park was full as usual, but I was able to find some space in the corner of the park where I usually go. It is on the edge of the park so I can make a quick getaway once the fireworks are over.
I did not time it too well and ended up getting to the park about 20 minutes before I had planned. I should have waited for it to get a bit darker before I left.
I soon discovered that I should have brought my tripod with me. My arm got tired quickly and I was not holding the camera very steady.
I did get some shots that were pretty good though. I also got a bunch of very interesting pictures that I may have to share when I can’t think of anything else to post.
This fiery one was really pretty.
If you like blue or lavender then you will like this picture.
This one has a lot of color. I timed it just a bit off though as it had even more color a moment earlier.
I will not even share a picture of the finale. I tried to take a couple pictures but the amount of light just saturates the image and they are not even worth posting.
Maybe next year I need to remember the tripod π
I hope everyone had a fun but safe 4th of July.
Steven
One of the pictures reminds me of a jelly fish! π The last one was beautiful, thanks for sharing!
