While in Wittenberg on Saturday I saw some beautiful ivy covered walls.
Here we have some ivy that has grown on a perimeter wall. Since it is fall there are beautiful red leaves. Simple, but yet so beautiful.
Here we have ivy reaching up the side of a building. The contrast of the red and white is really striking.
Here is some beautiful fall color on an overgrown old building. You can also see the remains of ivy from the previous year on the white wall.
The red and yellow leaves of the ivy almost entirely cover the front of this house. I am sure that it is also beautiful when the ivy is simply green.
Here is an even larger expanse of ivy. The ivy does not cover as much of the total building, but it is a much larger building.
Can you imagine turning a corner and seeing this beautiful wall full of ivy? It is a breathtaking view, especially if you are not expecting it.
