Today was National Watermelon Day, so I thought I would share a few pictures to celebrate the day.

This first picture comes from my post Eating Watermelon. My Grandma’s cousin is enjoying a large slice of watermelon.

Watermelon is especially nice on a hot day when you have been working hard.

Watermelon break is my favorite time of day while on an archaeological dig. The delicious watermelon is so refreshing.

I am also remembering some of the beautiful watermelon art that I have seen in China through the years.

I did not see any watermelon art during my trip to Shanghai last month, but did enjoy a lot of watermelon during meals. I had watermelon for breakfast, lunch and dinner almost every day.
