Tonight I walked to the park to watch the 4th of July fireworks.

Last year I was out of the country, so was excited to see the fireworks.

I arrived early to find a good spot to take pictures from. I had a couple alternate spots picked out depending on the height of the fireworks, but unfortunately was unable to move once the fireworks started since the area was crowded. I was a bit unlucky as there were a couple power lines running straight across where I was shooting. I had thought that the fireworks would be above the power lines.

Now for some sleep. I hope that the illegal fireworks quiet down soon. The 4th of July weekend and jet lag do not go well together 🙂
