Time to Celebrate

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and it is time to celebrate the Independence of our country.

4th of July Parade, Bicycles, Wagon, Small town parade, Independence day paradeMaybe you will celebrate by going to a parade, or taking part in one. Long ago when I lived in a small town I was almost always in the 4th of July parade.

World's Largest Turtule Race, Ashland, Kansas, 4th of July, Turtle Race, Small Town4th of July also meant turtle races when we lived in Ashland, Kansas. Everyone would go searching for turtles to enter in the race that was always held at the grade school playground.

Frank Andrea Miller - Spirit of '76 - Editorial Cartoon - 4th of July - Des Moines Register - FreedomWe do need to make sure that we remember the Spirit of ’76 as we celebrate this year on the 4th of July.

Last year I was out of the country for the 4th of July. However, I did meet with some friends for a nice dinner in Ashkelon. We all had hamburgers to celebrate the big day. A nice end to a day in which we traveled from Arad to Ashkelon.

Fire Works - 4th of July - Most Liked Posts - Holiday FireworksTomorrow I plan on going to the park in the evening to watch the fireworks. Perhaps I will get another nice picture like this one I took six years ago. Maybe I should take my tripod with me to get a good stable shot.

Hopefully I can get some good sleep before the holiday tomorrow. I have a lot to do during the day and want to kick the jet lag before I have to work on Tuesday, I have a lot of work waiting for me.

I wish everyone a great 4th of July.

Steven
