Today was a rainy Sunday to go along with the rest of the weekend. It is nice to get spring rains. Especially since we are still way behind on precipitation for the last several years.
Of course, rainy days mean photo opportunities. Especially raindrops on roses.
This morning before I left for church services I took some pictures of my roses.
Raindrops on Roses is one of my favorite things 🙂
Here is one of my beautiful Tropicana rose blooms with some raindrops.
Here are some raindrops on one of my St. Patrick rose blooms. In this picture you can really see why this is called the St. Patrick. The green is very pronounced in the outer petals of the rose.
The hills along the edge of Central Valley were shrouded with low lying rain clouds this morning.
You can already see that they are starting to loose some of their green color as we transition from the rainy season to the dry season. However, the rain from this weekend should delay the change a little bit.
There was a lot of local flooding with large puddles of rain along the side of the back roads. Here we see an orchard reflected in one of the large puddles.
Another of my favorite flowers is the iris. They bring back some great memories of the many different colors of iris that we had when we lived in Kansas.
My friends have some iris growing in their flower gardens and I just had to take some pictures. Especially as they were covered with rain drops. The flowers were drooping a bit since they were so wet, but they were very beautiful.
I hope that you enjoyed a little peek into my Rainy Sunday.
