Kyushu Japanese

Tonight we had a course dinner for the third course I am teaching on this trip. The first two course dinners were at TGI Friday’s, so this time it was nice to have it somewhere else.

Kyushu, Japanese Restaurant, Japanese Cuisine, Australia

Tonight we went to one of my favorite Japanese restaurants Kyushu. I like this picture as it shows the neighboring businesses. You can be pampered before having a great meal. I am sure that many of the patrons of Kyushu are also patrons of the other shops.

Kyushu Menu, Japanese Food, Neutral Bay, AustraliaI have friends who like to go to Kyushu to celebrate their birthdays, and also many colleagues who also really enjoy the food there. I have eaten there quite a few times over the years and always look forward to visiting Kyushu when I visit Australia.

Mixed Sashimi, Kyushu, raw fish, oystersWe started off with a nice bowl of mixed sashimi. The raw fish was very delicious, especially with a little bit of soy sauce and wasabi.

Pork rolls, Pork Maki, Pork and VegetablesWe also had some delicious pork maki. You have to be careful eating these as they retain heat very well. The sauce was very good and we used it to dip other items in later in the meal.

Chicken Teriyaki,Kyushu, Japanese Food, ChickenAlways a favorite is the chicken teriyaki. The meat is so tender and has great taste.

Kyushu, Ton Katsu, Pork, Japanese Food, Japanese CuisineI always make sure that we order some ton katsu. I really like this breaded pork cutlet. Especially with the sauce that Kyushu has to dip it in.

California Rolls, Sushi, Kyushu, Japanese Food, Japanese Cuisine, Sushi RollsWe completed the meal with some California rolls. I just couldn’t resist a little taste of home 🙂

This is just a sample of the items that we had though. I had to pick and choose my pictures tonight.

I am already looking forward to my next trip to Australia and another chance to eat at Kyushu.

Do you have a favorite Japanese restaurant?

Steven
