The Bible app that I use has a new feature. You can overlay a scripture on a picture of your choice.
I decided to try out the new YouVersion feature this week with a couple pictures I took on trips to Israel and Turkey.
We also talked in our Wednesday night class about ways to better learn and remember scriptures. I decided to give this way a try and see if I can help myself and others remember some key scriptures.
The first is a picture that I took in Israel. This grave with a rolling stone is near Megiddo. You can read more about the grave and how it was found in my post: The Empty Tomb
I had planned on showing more of the rolling stone in the picture, but the app has a defined crop shape and I was not able to capture it the way I wanted. I will probably try this one again with an original picture that is taller so that I can capture the complete stone in the horizontal direction.
I took this picture at Hattusha in Turkey. We stopped to look at a shepherd working in the field with his sheep.
In this picture the shepherd is leaning on his rod. Visit my post, Thy Rod or Thy Staff?, to learn more about the difference between a rod and a staff.
I have much to learn about the new app feature, including what text color and text size will work best.
Let me know what you think about these attempts so I can make the next ones better.
Also, feel free to save these or share them with others.
Steven
