This afternoon I took a nice winter walk.
We are still a month away from the start of spring, but from the images that I will share with you you can see that spring is definitely on the way here in California.
As I was leaving home for my walk I took a picture of the blossoms on my plum tree. I saw many other trees on my walk that were starting to blossom.
I also took a few more pictures of the beautiful pink blossoms of the tree next door. They are just beginning to blossom, but in a few weeks the whole tree will be a beautiful pink.
I am not certain whether these are Saucer Magnolias or Tulip Magnolias. In any case, they are beautiful. I enjoy these blooms each year in the park near my house. They are located at three of the four main entrances to the park.
I like this picture that shows one of the Magnolia trees with a gazebo in the background. There is a similar picture in my post Saturday Evening Walk that is taken from another direction.
Here is a picture that looks a bit more like winter with seed pods hanging from a tree. However, if you look closely you can see that the tree is starting to bud.
Shortly after I returned home from my walk I had to go back outside to take a few more pictures as we had a beautiful sunset tonight.
Here you can see the bare trees silhouetted against the red sky. I wish that these clouds were bringing rain, but it doesn’t look like rain is forecast again until the end of the month.
I hope you enjoyed wandering with me on my winter walk.
