This afternoon I took a nice winter walk.

We are still a month away from the start of spring, but from the images that I will share with you you can see that spring is definitely on the way here in California.

As I was leaving home for my walk I took a picture of the blossoms on my plum tree. I saw many other trees on my walk that were starting to blossom.

I also took a few more pictures of the beautiful pink blossoms of the tree next door. They are just beginning to blossom, but in a few weeks the whole tree will be a beautiful pink.

I am not certain whether these are Saucer Magnolias or Tulip Magnolias. In any case, they are beautiful. I enjoy these blooms each year in the park near my house. They are located at three of the four main entrances to the park.I like this picture that shows one of the Magnolia trees with a gazebo in the background. There is a similar picture in my post Saturday Evening Walk that is taken from another direction.

Here is a picture that looks a bit more like winter with seed pods hanging from a tree. However, if you look closely you can see that the tree is starting to bud.

Shortly after I returned home from my walk I had to go back outside to take a few more pictures as we had a beautiful sunset tonight.

Here you can see the bare trees silhouetted against the red sky. I wish that these clouds were bringing rain, but it doesn’t look like rain is forecast again until the end of the month.
