Tonight at the grocery store several items sent my thoughts wandering.

The first was during a trip down the sauce aisle where KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce caught my eye. I have many memories of KC Masterpiece, especially since I lived in Kansas City for many years.

KC Masterpiece is getting some free advertising with the success of the Kansas City Royals this year. I have seen several headlines and mentions in news stories of how the Royals have played another KC Masterpiece game.

I hope that we hear this often during the World Series and that they play four KC Masterpiece games.

My memories of KC Masterpiece are not only of the sauce. I also remember the restaurants in Kansas City. The last one closed in 2009, so not something you can experience today.  I do remember eating at several of them, but to be honest I don’t remember much about the food. It was not memorable.

In my Orange S’Cream Twinkies post last month I wrote about how this is the time of year when we see a lot of seasonal food items.

While picking up milk I spotted this trio of seasonal creamer flavors.

Lucerne has produced a limited edition of Pumpkin Pecan, Snickerdoodle and Peppermint White Chocolate flavors.

Also in the dairy case, SO Delicious has Pumpkin Spice Coconut Milk and Nog Coconut Milk.

Not sure if I would buy either of these or the coffee creamers from above, but I am sure that many people will for use at holiday parties.

I also had a special offer for Magnum Bars, so decided to pick up the Mint flavor. I really like the Belgian chocolate of the Magnum bars. I have had the Mint flavor before, and it is one of my favorites.

I usually buy the Magnum Minis as I can have them more often without worrying too much about calories. However, the special offer was for the regular ones and they don’t have the Minis in Mint.

I will have to make sure that I have some Magnum bars in my freezer so that I can celebrate the Royals wins in the World Series.

I have definitely been adding to my collection of Baseball Memories this season.
