Half Timbered Disney

I have always liked the look of a good half timbered building, so when I was in Chester, England in 2006 I had to take a lot of pictures.

I actually shared a glimpse of a half timbered building in Chester in my post Photogenic Clocks.

I will share a few tonight that have a Disney theme.

Disney Store, Chester, England, Half Timbered Building, Black and WhiteThere is no mistaking that this building has a Disney theme. There was a Disney Store in one of the half timbered buildings on the main street through Chester.

I really like the contrast between the black and white of the half timbered building.

Half Timbered House, Chester, England, ResidenceHere is a beautiful residence that has a half timbered front. I took this picture while walking around Chester on top of the ruins of the city wall. The Disney aspect of this picture may not be clear, but I will get to it.

The Fear of the Lord is a Fountain of Life, Proverbs 14:27, Half Timbered House, Chester, EnglandHere is a closeup of the saying that is on the facade of the house.

The Fear of the Lord is a Fountain of Life

This is the first part of Proverbs 14:27.

Here is the rest of the verse:

To Depart from the Snares of Death.

Half Timbered House, Pixar, Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, The IncrediblesMaybe in this picture you can see the Disney connection.

Do you see the two action figures in the window?

Half Timbered House, Pixar, Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, The IncrediblesHere is a closer look at Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Incredible as they protect the home from danger.

Chester, England, Half Timbered House, Black and White, Double Peak RoofHere is one last picture of the upper part of the house. You can see the beautiful double peak roof and the geometric patterns of the half timbered front of the house.

If you look closely you can also see some other dolls in the upper right windows.

I am wondering if these dolls were put in the windows by children or by adults.

What do you think?

Steven

p.s. Would you like to see more pictures of half timbered buildings in the future?
