Next week I will be heading up to Canada for a short trip. Last month I went Back Below the Border to Mexico.
The upcoming trip to Canada brings back blog memories as I started my blog while I was sitting at the airport waiting to start my last trip to Canada.
My first blog post was Take off to Canada. In the post I wrote about how traveling and communication have changed over the years.
As I look back over some of my first posts, I wonder what I was thinking and where my mind was wandering.
Some of the first posts were about dining out in Canada. Travel Food, Slow Lunch, Five Guys – Is it worth the price? and A WonderPho Dinner where all in this category.
I also did a little social experiment with friends and colleagues and had them finish the statement: As Canadian As …..
A trip to Chinatown in Toronto yielded a couple of fun posts: Just Loonies and Lucky Moose Food Mart
I also went to the Zoo while in Toronto and the pictures that I took that day continue to show up in some of my posts.
One of my favorite pictures was this one that was featured in the post Hungry Hungry Hippos.
However, that post was just one of several zoo posts that I wrote during the trip. I also posted Toronto Zoo, White Lions, Zoo Pictures, Flowers at the Zoo and Butterfly Picture Surprise.
One last post from the trip has me thinking of what books to take on the trip. It has been a long time since I have read through the Anne of Green Gables series. I may take the first books of the series with me.
I am thinking of other posts I have written about Canada, but they will have to wait for another day. Especially those about my recently found Canadian ancestry. You will hear more about it in the next week or so.

I hope you enjoyed this little wandering down memory lane.

Wish I could go too. But at least I can see your blog post about it.
I have to admit, I don’t think “hippo” when I think of Toronto. I’d better think again!
It’s fun to read your first post. I’m not sure when I first read Braman’s Wanderings, but I’ve been reading it for a long time, so it must have been only a month or two old when I found it.
Don’t forget your brand new personalized suitcase. I left it for you here at the bottom of my post:
