In my post A Night at the Barn, I mentioned that I would be back at the barn for the wedding of two of my friends.
Tonight was the night of the wedding, and it was a beautiful night.
I arrived a bit early as it was my task to procure and deliver the large amount of ice needed to keep things cool on a hot summer evening. I was able to get a few nice pictures without a bunch of people around. Here we have a nice view of the reception area on the back side of the barn.
There is a nice area at the back of the barn that is shady in the late afternoon. In the background you can see the fledgling trees that will soon be a nice orchard surrounding the barn. The table centerpieces were really nice and there were a lot of nice details.
The early wedding pictures were being taken, and I was able to get a fun shot of the Groom and his brother sitting in one of the hayloft doors at the front of the barn.
At the front entrance of the barn was the welcome table, including a basket of fans that were really needed. The weather was a bit warm, or should I say hot.
On the other side of the barn door was a really cool welcome sign.
Come As You Are
Stay As Long As You Can
We’re All Family
So No Seating Plan
Here the chairs are all ready and waiting for the wedding guests. The chairs soon filled up and the ceremony began. The ceremony was really beautiful and was performed by the father of the groom.
Here we have the lovely couple near the end of the ceremony. Congratulations J.D. and Kristen.
You may have been wondering where all the chairs were in the pictures of the reception area at the beginning of the post. After the ceremony we all picked up our chairs and moved them to the reception area for some nice treats.
After the wedding pictures were completed the night ended with the traditional toasts, a barn dance and the cutting of the cake.
A nice evening and a great way to celebrate the start of their life together as a couple.
Steven

Looks wonderful. I hope they have a good life together.
That’s just the most fabulous place and what an awesome welcome sign. I love how the light peaks thru the well worn boards and all the twinkly lights too. Very sweet. Best wishes to your friends as they begin their journey as husband and wife. Cheers
What a beautiful setting for a wedding!
Love the welcome sign.
