Just a short post tonight as it has been a long day and I am still a bit jet-lagged. I will hopefully put together a longer and more comprehensive post about Independence Day tomorrow.
First, check out the post that I wrote a year ago: Fireworks Memories
This is one of the pictures from the post. This is one of my favorite fireworks pictures that I have taken. The post also contains some of my favorite fireworks memories.
Another previous post that you should check out is: Small Town 4th of July
The post looks at how a small Kansas town celebrates the 4th of July.
If you want to see a blurry picture of me marching in a parade you should definitely click on the link the Small Town 4th of July.
Another recent post that featured fireworks was Blogiversary. I wrote the post the day after watching a fireworks display at the Apricot Fiesta so used some of the images to celebrate my first year of blogging.
I will close out this post with a few more fireworks images from the Apricot Fiesta.
I really like how this one captured a shell that had just exploded with one that is slowly fading away in the background.
In this one the new blasts are pretty much obscured by the background, but I still think that it is a pretty cool picture.
This one is interesting as it captures a large shell bursting and you can see that another large burst is on the way just above the trail of sparks to the left of the picture.
This last one I like because of the very long trail of sparks from the ascending shell and the very large burst of light from when it burst.
Make sure you click on the link to Blogiversary, as it has my five favorite fireworks pictures from the same evening. The four above are the ones that didn’t make the cut :-).
I hope everyone has a safe Independence Day, especially if you are lighting off fireworks.
Last of all, remember the reason behind why we are celebrating tomorrow.
Steven

Great pictures.
Happy Fourth, Steven ! I love the firework pictures – spectacular!
Beautiful and very good photography.
I really enjoy trying to get good fireworks pictures. I need to try it someday with a tripod and see if I can get some better ones.
