This is the first post in a series of flower center posts. OK, maybe that is not the technical term that I should be using, but it is the name that my mind wandered to. I have quite a few close-up pictures where I have taken pictures of the center of a flower. I will most likely make the posts in the series when I have a busy day and don’t have time for a longer post :-).
In this post, I don’t want to get technical about flower parts. I just want to look at the beauty.
I really like this day lily. The picture was taken at a park near my house. When I drive by every morning I see many of these gorgeous day lilies blooming. I really like the red, orange and yellow colors in this bloom.
This one is the center of a Lycoris squamigera or resurrection lily. I took this picture a couple years ago at the Dublin Heritage Center. You can see a group of these lilies in my post Heritage Lilies.
This picture was also taken close to home. I found this lily a couple blocks from my house and just had to take a picture of it. I really like the mix of yellows and browns in this picture.
I hope you enjoyed this quick look at a few flower centers.
I have a busy week, so you may see follow-up posts sooner than later :-).
