This evening I decided to write out my schedule for tomorrow. It soon became apparent that it was a mixed-up schedule. I soon found myself jumping back and forth between far off locations.
Of course, this is nothing new and is common when you fly from Asia to the US. I even wrote a post titled Time Travel about the same subject. Crossing the International Date Line makes for interesting time changes.
So, here is my schedule for Saturday. (all times are approximate, subject to change and in local time)
6:30 – Wake-up alarm at hotel in Seoul
8:00 – Eat Breakfast
9:00 – Complete packing of Clifford the Big Red Suitcase.
See The Packing Formula for more about packing suitcases. The packing for the return trip home is simpler though. It is more about Geometry, how do I get everything back in the suitcase, instead of what will the contents be.
11:20 – Arrive at San Francisco International Airport.
11:35 – Leave Hotel in Seoul.
11:46 – Board Limousine Bus for transit to Incheon International Airport near Seoul.
11:50 – Clear immigration at San Francisco International Airport.
12:00 – Pick up Clifford the Big Red Suitcase at San Francisco International Airport.
12:27 – Board BART at San Francisco International Airport station.
12:46 – Transfer trains at Balboa Park BART station.
1:15 – Arrive at Incheon International Airport.
1:40 – Check in at Incheon International Airport.
1:48 – Arrive at West Dublin – Pleasanton BART station.
2:00 – Pick up Old Blue and start driving home.
2:20 – Clear immigration and security at Incheon International Airport.
2:35 – Arrive Home!
2:45 – Lunch at the airport in South Korea.
3:15 – Shopping at the airport. Most likely spending my last bit of local currency on books.
4:00 – Unpack suitcase.
4:10 – Boarding starts for the flight home.
4:30 – Sort mail and read important pieces.
5:00 – Flight departs South Korea from Incheon International Airport.
5:30 – Change clothes and mow overgrown lawn. There is a good probability that this will not happen 🙂
OK, the schedule is fuzzy here. I will probably be fighting to stay awake until at least 9:00 so who knows what I will be doing.
~9:00 – Go to bed at home in California.
A bit of a mixed-up schedule on Saturday, and also a very long day. My Saturday starts in about two hours and will be 40 hours long.
I hope you are not confused after reading my schedule. I actually have it all fixed in the right sequence in my head, so will not be in the wrong place at the wrong time :-).

Time travel is confusing. Star Trek made it look so easy……Energize! Safe travels
Safe journey home, Steven 🙂
The statement that I made that the schedule is subject to change was appropriate. The flight has been delayed by almost two hours. Now to determine if I spend more time in the Hotel room or head to the airport as scheduled. There is a lot more to do at the airport, since it is a rainy day. I had planned on taking a walk.
I am only an hour and a half behind schedule. On BART and headed toward home.
Whew, it sounds like a long day (or maybe a short day since you made it home before you were scheduled to fly).. Glad your trip went well, and hope you don’t have too much jet lag.
