None of the posts that I have in my head are scrambling to make their way to the surface tonight. I am also tired out after a long day at work and would rather just head to bed. So, tonight you just get a picture of a beautiful pond in the Sierra foothills. This pond is near where my friends live in Pine Mountain Lake.

I really love the colors in this picture. The beautiful blue of the sky as it is reflected in the water. The bright green grass as it is highlighted by the sun. The yellow of the trees as they are reflected in the water. The day was so still and quiet. There was nary a ripple in the water or a twig moving in a tree. Just an overall quietness that every once in a while was interrupted by the call of a bird or the croak of a frog.  It would have been nice to just sit all day on the bank and read a book or even just sit and contemplate the serenity of this mountain valley pond.
