Roses Returning

Mostly a picture post tonight, but one that shows a sequence of new growth on one of my rose bushes.

It is always sad to prune my roses, but I know that soon they will start their return.

We have had a lot of rain and cool days. Now we need some nice sunny days and the rose bushes will really start to fill up with new growth.

Today I have been thinking of Japan since I received an e-mail from a Japanese colleague.

So, I will share some of my favorite images of Japan tonight.

Kyoto Subway, Blur and Reflection, Kyoto, Japan, SubwayI can’t write a post about my favorite pictures of Japan without including this picture of the subway in Kyoto. It is in a post titled Blur and Reflection. Visit the post to see the reflection picture.

Ton Katsu, Japanese Food, Travel, CuisineThere are a lot of food pictures that I could share from Japan, but I thought I would share a picture of one of my favorite dishes. This is tonkatsu which is a deep fried pork cutlet. It is actually what is on the menu at our cafeteria tomorrow and another reason why I have been thinking of Japan. I guarantee that my lunch will not look like this tomorrow 🙂

Nice memories of Japan are wandering through my thoughts tonight.
