The Right Tea for the Webinar

This week I have been presenting webinars for students in different countries around the world.

I always like to have a drink handy when I am lecturing in case my throat starts to dry out. Since I am presenting from home it is nice to be able to choose one of my many teas.

oi ocha, green tea, japan, tea bagsFor my webinar with Japan earlier this week I selected some Green Tea I bought during my last trip there.

Japanese Green tea, oi ocha, tea please, tea time, brewingI enjoyed a nice cup of green tea while presenting.

Vahdam Tea, Oolong Tea, Indian TeaFor my webinar with India I decide to make a cup of Vahdam High Mountain Oolong Tea, which comes from the Darjeeling area of India. One of my trainers from India had brought it to me on his last trip to California.Oolong Tea, Vahdam Tea, Heavy Oxidized OolongThis tea has a nice dark color and is one of the more highly oxidized oolong teas.

DaYuLing Tea, Taiwan Tea, High Mountain Tea, Oolong TeaFor my webinar with Southeast Asia I made some DaYuLing Oolong Tea from Taiwan. This tea had been brought to me by my trainer from Singapore who helped me organize the webinar for his region.

DaYuLing Tea, Taiwan Tea, High Mountain Tea, Oolong TeaI really like this tea. The taste is a bit sweet and mellow and has some floral tones. The mouth feel is very smooth with no harsh edges. There is a nice lingering aftertaste in the early infusions which reduces slowly with later ones. It also sometimes has a hint of cinnamon, or something similar.

I have a few more webinars coming up in the next couple weeks and I already have plans for what teas I will be drinking while I am presenting.

I now have to go make a cup of tea 🙂

Virtually in Japan and Singapore

Tonight I am conducting two separate webinars for colleagues in Japan and Singapore.

Since I will be virtually in Asia I thought I would share just a few images that are wandering through my mind tonight.

Karaoke in Tokyo - Karaoke Box - Japanese CultureI am thinking of singing karaoke with colleagues in Japan.

Shadows and Reflections, Edo Castle, Gate, Moat, Tokyo, Reflection of ShadowI am thinking of these interesting shadows on the fortification wall of Edo Castle in Tokyo.

To-Ji - Kyoto, Japan - Five story Wooden PagodoI am thinking of To-Ji, a pagoda in Kyoto.

Library building, Singapore, Night shotsI am thinking of the Singapore National Library building.

Singapore Flyer - Ferris Wheel - Singapore - Tallest Ferris Wheel - Singapore FerryI am thinking of walking along the waterfront in Singapore and this beautiful view of a ferry and the large wheel.

silhouettes, Singapore, beach, palm tree, sunsetI am thinking of this line of ships waiting to enter the shipping facilities in Singapore and how my students will soon queue up for the webinars.

Now to get prepared for my next webinar.
