Wednesday Image Search – Hot

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I continued the new sequence with ‘dot’, ‘eot’ and ‘got’. This week I will search for ‘hot’. There will be some gaps in this ‘*ot’ sequence, including ‘aot’, as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

Photo Booth, Pictures, 1930's, Smiles, Couple in Photo BoothThe first image is an old photo boot picture of my Grandpa and Grandma. The both have smiles in this picture.

Queens Cave Hotel, Ortahisar, Cappadocia, Turkey, Breakfast, Turkish DiningNext is a breakfast spread at the Queen’s Cave hotel in Ortahisar, Turkey. I enjoyed the breakfasts in Turkey when I was there many years ago.

Hot Air Ballons - Cappadocia - Rock formations - Kapadokya BalloonsHere is a another picture from the Cappadocian region of Turkey. We went on a hot air balloon ride over the fascinating landscape.

Nando's Hot Chicken - Peri Peri Sauce - Delicious Chicken - Nando's Australia - Macquarie CentreNext we have some hot chicken at Nando’s in Australia. I need a Nando’s fix.

Elevator Lobby, Hotel, Shanghai, Chinese HotelFinally we the elevator lobby at a hotel that I have stayed at several times in Shanghai.

There were quite a few ‘hot’ images to choose from.  I hope you like the selections that I made. I could have just used pictures from hotels.

Which is your favorite of these pictures?

What should I search for next? I will probably continue with the ‘*ot” series even though I need to skip some instances since there are few or no images for some of them, or perhaps bundle some together like I did this week.

Oak Island – Season Premier – November 7

The 11th season of  The Curse of Oak Island now has a premier date. While getting ready for my trip to Bangkok I was reviewing my DVR settings and noticed that while I was gone there was to be a Top Ten episode.  Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything? This reminded me of a previous season that started out with several episodes about Top Ten items in the show.

The show last week was about the Top 10 Ancient Structures and this week it will be about the Top 10 Treasure Theories.  In the coming weeks Top Moments and Top Finds will follow these two.

When I watched the episode from last week I noticed that they gave the premier date several times. The 11th season will start on November 7.

So, we have a month of recaps from the last season or seasons to help us get ready for the next season.

We do know that they experienced bad weather multiple times during the season, and it will most likely be a big story line as the season progresses.

Oak Island, treasure, Randal SullivanWill we see weather as a reason why they can’t find the slippery treasure?

It would be interesting to see how they show the effects of weather throughout the year. There was a huge rainstorm and flooding earlier in the year, which most likely affected work in the swamp.

It would actually interesting to see what would have happened if they were hit harder by the storms. What would be exposed if a huge storm system hits the island? I know how rains effect a normal archaeological dig and they always secure the area during the rainy season. However, as spread out as the sites are on Oak Island and the large areas of beach there is sure to be something uncovered in a large storm.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaOnce the new season starts airing it will be interesting to see where they have been digging or exploring this year. Did they open up areas that were susceptible to a big storm?

Did they undertake one of the big projects they have proposed in the past? If so, they will probably need to curtail the projects late in the year due to weather. It does look like things may have been wrapped up before the latest weather hit. Did they wrap up early or just take a break for the weather?

Oak island, map, curse of oak island, pier, new workIn satellite pictures on map sites it looks like there is some activity in additional areas. It will be interesting to see what this activity is. The pier is in the older picture just above this one, but the area to the right seems to be new.

The operations at the site will have already been completed by the time the season starts, so perhaps they will give hints of what is to come later in the season. I saw a video of a drilling rig heading back to the island after Lee passed by, so they must still have been at work last month. Does this mean that they didn’t find anything and were still searching?

What will they find this year? Will they find the slippery treasure and finally wrap up the show?
