Large Peaches, Peach Tree, Harvest Time, Golden Peaches, Fresh FruitI forgot to take pictures of the peaches when they were whole, but luckily I have other pictures of peaches growing on a tree.

Peach on Tree, Peach Tree, Ripe Peach, Delicious PeachThe peaches were not as large as this beauty.

Peach Stone, Eat a Peach Day, Chinese Fruit, Free STone The first step was to cut open the peaches and remove the stone.patterson peaches, sliced peaches, stone fruitThen I sliced them up and sprinkled a little sugar on top of them.

Patterson peaches, stone fruit, peaches with sugar, snackI then stirred them up a bit and let them rest and absorb the sugar.

A wonderful afternoon snack of delicious peaches.

Wednesday Word Search – Gat

Welcome to another Wednesday Word Search where I pick a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Awhile back I searched for ‘hat’ and ‘bat’ so started a theme of ‘?at’ words. Last week I searched for ‘fat’ so will continue on.

The word for tonight is: Gat

Gat should be interesting. The string ‘gat’ is in some interesting words.

What images will I find?

Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, Sunny Day, SailingI will start close to home with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Gath - Tell es-Safi - Philistines - Shamgar - Judge of IsraelHere is a picture that I took at Gath in Israel? Who is from this ancient city?

Irrigation channel, Ag Country, Orchard Country, Agriculture, Water, droughtHere we have an irrigation canal in the Central Valley of California.

Lion Gate - Hattusha - Ancient Hittite Capital - Ruins of HattushaHere is the Lion Gate at Hattusha, the capital city of the Hittites.

Gate to Laish, Tel Dan, Canaanite GateHere is the old Canaanite gate at Laish. Most people do not know this city as Laish as it was later conquered by the men of Dan and renamed. However, at the time this gate was used it was still known at Laish.

I could have shared many other pictures of gates, as the search brought up quite a few of them.

I have a lot of words with ‘gat’ and found many more images than I needed for the post.

These images show that ‘gat’ is a sequence used in some important words.

Which is your favorite ‘gat’ picture?

What should I search for next? It will probably continue with the next ?at word. I already used ‘hat’, so will skip to ‘iat.’ Yes, there are some of these in my images.
