Worked Wood on Oak Island

Season 9 of The Curse of Oak Island is well underway. The episode tonight showed them finding even more wood in the swamp and the money pit area.Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything? The long reach excavator pulled out more interesting wood objects from the swamp. Several of these pieces showed some interesting worked surfaces. Perhaps they are pieces of a ship or are tools. They definitely have interesting wear patterns on them that show they were used for something. One of them may be made from a harder wood and it will be interesting to see what type.

oak Island, Money Pit, Mahone BayThe drilling survey in the Money Pit area continued to look where they believe Shaft 6 was located. They found more stacked wood which may show they have found two sides of a shaft. It seems like they are close to determining where to put the first big can.

Oak Island, Money Pit, National Geographic, Curse of Oak IslandThe preview of the next episode shows some excitement with the drill rig, so it will be interesting to see exactly what happened.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaI am watching a new episode of Beyond Oak Island which shows other treasure sites around the world. It is always interesting to learn more about History.

oak island, curse of oak lsland, satellite, money pitRecent episodes have been a bit repetitive and haven’t moved the story forward too much, however the preview for next week shows some excitement. Perhaps we will see something new.

Roses in the New Year

Despite the cold weather Sunday morning, I still have roses on my bushes. I will have to evaluate them this weekend and see if it is time to prune.

This rose bush will be the hardest to prune as it is a floribunda and is quite old with a lot of old growth.

I will enjoy my roses for awhile longer and then will have to undergo that period of time each year when I don’t have rose blooms.
