First Trip to Bangalore

Tonight I am thinking about my first trip to Bangalore back at the end of the last century.

The reason why I am thinking about the trip is that one of my colleagues from India retired today after many years with the company.

Bangalore, India, Dominion, Training Course, Students, RetirementThe trip was for my first training course at an international location. The training course was held at the Dominion Country Club just north of Bangalore.

Bangalore, India, Dominion, Training Course, Students, RetirementHere is a picture that was taken of me and some of the students. Most of them are still working for the company 25 years later. I even saw some of them in a virtual meeting this evening.

Bangalore, India, Dominion, Training Course, Students, RetirementI remember the great time that we had together in the classroom. Most of the students were just starting to work together as we had just opened an office in India.

Bangalore, India, Dominion, Training Course, Students, RetirementAll the instruments that we trained on at that time have been replaced by newer models so I have seen many of the students in additional courses through the years. Some of them I have also certified as trainers.

Bangalore, India, Dominion, Training Course, Students, RetirementWe also did a bit of sightseeing on the weekends and here you see me at the top of Nandi Hills.

Lots of memories tonight.

Wednesday Image Search – Sar

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘rar.’ This week I will proceed to ‘sar’ as I extend the sequence.

What images will I find?

Sara Lee Display - Nature's Own Buns - Hot Dog Buns - Hamburger Buns - Shelf ShortageThe first image is of a Sara Lee display at the grocery store. I always try to include a food picture and this was the only one I found.

Caesarea Maritima, Paul, Felix and Drusilla, Judgement Hall, ArchaeologyThe next image is from Caesarea Maritima. This picture was taken from about where Paul was thought to have been held prisoner.

Cultic Center, Caesarea Philippi, BanaiThe next picture just had to be from Caesarea Philippi. This is of the cultic area which contained altars to many different gods.

Sarcophagus of Antakya - 3rd Century - Sarcophagus - Antioch of SyriaHere is the Sarcophagus of Antakya which is in a museum in Antakya, Turkey. Antakya is the modern name, and it is just by where the ancient city known as Antioch of Syria or Antioch on the Orontes was. I have some great memories of my trip there. Especially a Sunday morning worship service.

Sarah Sears Ramsey, 3rd Great Grandmother, Geneology, AncestryHere is a picture of my 3rd Great Grandmother Sarah Sears Ramsey.

There were quite a few  ‘sar’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘sar’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  Since I am following a series with ‘?ar’  the next one will probably be ‘tar’ as I have some interesting ones to choose from.
