Oak Island – More Research Reading

Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island is over and it is time to look forward to the next season.

During the off season I plan on doing some research reading.

Tonight I will share a few more of the books that I have read or plan to read before the next season of The Curse of Oak Island.

I will not go into much detail on the books, but will mention why they are on my research reading list.

Gods Gold, Sean Kingsley, Temple TreasureI will start with one that I mentioned in a previous post. Since they often talk about the treasures from the Temple I decided that God’s Gold: The Quest for the Lost Temples of Jerusalem by Sean Kingsley must be on the list. I have read it before, but it has been quite some time ago.

The lost ark, wead, ark of the covenantThis little book Where is The Last Ark? by Doug Wead with David Lewis & Hal Donaldson explores several theories of where the Ark of Covenant ended up.

The lost ark of the covenant, parfitt, treasureThe Lost Ark of the Covenant: Solving the 2,500 Year Old Mystery of the Fabled Biblical Ark by Tudor Parfitt looks at a theory that claims it ended up in remote Africa.

lost treasures of the Bible, Reddish, fantLost Treasures of the Bible: Understanding the Bible through Archaeological Artifacts in World Museums by Clyde E. Fant & Mitchell G. Reddish looks at some artifacts in museums that have religious significance. Perhaps the treasure of Oak Island is a significant inscription or religious object that will shed light on the past like these museum pieces.

I have many more books on my list that are both non-fiction and fiction. I will share more of them in future Tuesday posts.

Virtual Trip to Toronto

This week I am virtually teaching in Toronto.

I have an early start to each day, but thankfully I have a good co-teacher in the classroom in Toronto. I have known the co-teacher for some time and he has attended my classes during that time.

Even though I will not be physically there in Toronto, I am thinking about how I would have prepared it I had to travel there.

Westin Prince Hotel, Toronto, Westin Toronto, HotelI am thinking about the Westin Prince Hotel as that is where I would be staying if I was physically there. However, it is has been rebranded as the Pan Pacific Toronto since my last visit.

Westin Prince Toronto, Flower Clock, Flowers, ClocksThey have a great flower clock out in front of the hotel. I am sure that it is still there.

Tim Hortons, Toronto, Canada, Morning, BreakfastI will miss walking out each morning to get breakfast at Tim Hortons and then walking to the nearby office. Instead I will have a shorter walk to the kitchen and then to my dining room..

Dragon Pearl Toronto, Sushi, California Roll, WasabiI will miss some of the restaurants I would have have eaten at like the Dragon Pearl.

Korean Cuisine, Home Cooked Meal, Canadian Food, BulgogiI will also miss the home cooked meals that I would enjoy with friends in Toronto if I was there in person.

Even though I am not physically in Toronto, I will have some good memories of previous trips and think of my friends and colleagues there.
