Every day I check on the progress of my Agapanthus to see how many scapes I have.
I was a little worried this year as I had never cut the Agapanthus all the way back.
However, it soon started to grow and I breathed a sigh of relief.
It was then time to start watching for the first scape. This year they appeared a little later than the last few years. This may just be that it has been cooler this year. We have yet to have a 100 degree day this year.
I now have five scapes, and will probably not get any more. They usually all appear at about the same time.
You can see that the tallest scape is now as tall as a yardstick. What better use of a yardstick than to measure things in the yard. If you look closely you will see a name on the yardstick that brings back memories for me.
It will probably be a couple more weeks before blossoms will appear on top of the scapes. I will be watching for them and taking more pictures.
